Cathay Building
Time flies, yet tranquility remains

The Cathay Building is a fine example of British Gothic style architecture and was established in 1925. Thirteen storeys high, it is a combination of the outstanding architecture style of the 1880s and the signature decoration style of the 1920s. Such classic touches as the half-arc escalator, copper doors, iron decorations and the lift lobby's unique floor indicator "clocks" still show their excellent craftsmanship, despite surviving more than 70 years of service.

Grosvenor House
An ideal gathering place for distinguished persons who appreciate privacy
The solid and magnificent Grosvenor House was established in 1934. The building's classic silhouette falls gracefully from its tall middle section toward both sides. The central section is eighteen storeys high, while the east and west sides are thirteen storeys high apiece. The luxurious, graceful continuous geometric figure ornamentation of the building's lobby gives you a preview of the remainder of the building's elegant style.Echoes of the glamorous past meet you throughout the Grosvenor's elegant interior.

Cathay Garden
Ideal for discerning business travelers - luxurious and fashionable
When the Cathay Garden re-opened on June the 8th, 2005, it showed a totally new look after its extensive renovations. A five-floor executive-class hotel building, it features 208 luxurious guest rooms.
The first things you see while entering the Cathay Garden's spacious lobby are a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf and comfortable sofa – emblematic of the refinement and comfort you will find throughout the hotel. Also visible in the lobby are the Cathay's Front Desk, Business Center and Lobby Lounge, all of which feature decorations which follow the style of the venerable Cathay Building at the north end of the compound. Lastly, at the end of the lobby is the Cathay Brasserie, where no matter where you are seated, you can dine while enjoying the peaceful garden view through the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows.

Jin Jiang Grand Hall
Where history is made
After being renovated in 1998, Jin Jjiang Grand Hall took on a dignified new appearance. A further recent refurbishment has only added to its splendour as one of Shanghai's most distinguished meeting places.
A witness to history, the Jin Jiang Grand Hall has received more than 400 heads of state and government from countries all over the world since its opening. The Grand Hall was once the place where Chairman Mao Zedong and his collegues held meetings and it was also the site of the signing of the 1972 Sino-America joint communiqué by Chairman Mao and U.S. President Nixon.. It has witnessed numerous great meetings, and is the pride of the Jin Jiang Hotel.

Its main body, the multi-functional ground floor banquet hall, features such advanced technology as an elevatable stage, simultaneous interpretation system, and video system. It can hold more than 400 people at the same time. There are also other conference halls of varying sizes and a press conference room (which can also be used as the guest waiting room). No matter whether it's an international conference, luxurious banquet, top-grade commercial function, or a large-scale wedding banquet, the Jin Jiang Grand Hall function staff will provide impeccable service. The second floor consists of three small-scale conference halls, which can also hold small-scale banquets.

The Jin Jiang Hotel, with its many facets, flavors and features, is a reminder of what a truly "grand" hotel should be.
